4, the size of the sealing surface: the greater the contact between the gasket and the sealing surface width, the media fluid leakage required to pass the longer path, but in the same compression force, the greater the contact width, the seal will reduce the pressure small. 5, the surface of the sealing surface conditions: the shape of the sealing surface and surface roughness of the sealing have a certain impact, the surface is conducive to smooth sealing. The soft gasket is not sensitive to the surface condition due to its ease of deformation, and the surface condition is greatly affected by the hard gasket. The greater the contact width of the sealing surface with the gasket or filler, the longer the path through which the fluid leak passes, and the greater the resistance to flow loss, thus facilitating sealing.
